The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation Service) was a bureau of the Department of the Interior which oversaw water development projects in the western United States. Robert F. Herdman (1890- ), an engineer, worked for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 1913-1923 and 1933-1954. He was in charge of construction of Bartlett Dam in Arizona and Yellowtail Dam in Montana from 1936-1938. Herdman also went to Korea in 1950 to study the country's hydroelectric potential and served as project engineer for the Litani River Project in Lebanon from 1952-1954.
